Product Line Sheet
Construction/
Description
PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene)
is a high molecular weight polymer and one of the most versatile plastics.
It has excellent electrical properties, low coefficient of friction ,and
non-stick properties. Mechanical grade PTFE sheet can handle virtually all
chemicals in the 0-14 pH range with the exception of molten alkali metals
and elemental fluorine. It is suitable for service at temperatures from the
cryogenic range up to 500ºF.
Application /
Service
It is
particularly recommended for applications in the industrial and process
industries where high purity metals are required. It is excellent for
handling water, steam, chemicals, most organic solvents, corrosives,
hydraulic fluids, and gases.
